Capt. Michael Weinhofer is originally from Flemington, New Jersey. He charter fished for 18 years with his father John E Weinhofer out of Brielle, New Jersey.

Capt. Mike fished the original Jack Tar in tournaments from Cape May White Marlin Open, Maryland and North Carolina tournaments. He moved to Key West in 1990 and began Charter & tournament fishing the Bahamas, Cuba, Mexico and the Florida Keys full time.

Capt. Mike is the former owner of the Jack Tar 2 sport fishing charter boat 52' Buddy Cannady Custom Carolina. Now he specializes in light tackle fishing with a 27' Conch center console.

Capt. Mike fishes the reef, wrecks, Key West Harbor and offshore live baiting.
